Location
The town of Eli is located at the center of Israel, 40 minutes drive from Gush Dan and 30 minutes away from Jerusalem.
The Cross-Samaria highway leads from Gush Dan to the city of Ariel, located a quarter of an hour's drive from Eli.
The relatively short distance from Israel's large centers of employment, particularly the Industrial Parks in Barkan and Ariel, allow direct access to and from work. The town is at an elevation of about 700-800 m. above sea level, with a climate similar to that of Jerusalem.
Established in 1984, the town was named after the High Priest Eli, the last of the Cohanim at the Shiloh Temple, which was the center of worship for 367 years during the days of the Judges.

Residence and Construction
The population of Eli is presently around 3000 souls. It is varied, young and vital - new immigrants and established settlers, religious and non-observant - from all walks of Israeli life. Eli is built as an urban center for the surrounding settlements. It is constructed so that it can accept families directly into their permanent homes, in separate or mixed neighborhoods. The buildings offered for sale are low, single-family or semi-detached, on a total area of about 450 square meters each. There is also the option of temporary residences for rent.

Education
The educational institutions for the very young - a day-nursery and kindergartens - are in Eli, the regional State religious school is in Shiloh and the State school is in Ariel. There is a Talmud Torah in Eli - 'Hadar Yosef', where studies include religious enrichment. About 150 young men study at the 'Bnei David' pre-military service preparatory classes. In addition, there are some 100 students in the graduate framework of the preparatory classes. There are many educational institutions in our region such as the College of Ariel, the Orot College at Elkana, the Bar-Ilan University and the Hebrew University, Jerusalem and a teachers training institute
Add to these the children's activities, library and cultural events for children, youth and adults available in the town.

Eli - Quality of Life
Quality of life is not a vague concept at Eli. The cultivated gardens, the breath-taking mountain views, life in the shade of olive trees, the well-kept regional sports center, which includes multi-purpose playing fields, a tennis court, a work-out facility and swimming pool, place Eli at the front rank of residential areas in the Shomron from the aspect of the quality of life it offers its residents. Eli provides full community services, including health services, Ministry of the Interior, National Insurance, 'Lev Eli' shopping center, including shopping mall, post office, clinic and other business enterprises. Synagogues and ritual baths are scattered around the neighborhoods.
